Niggling fouls was the only criticism I made -and only the in the context of him being a combative, committed player.
I said he was dirty "at times" and I think his record suggests that.
I suppose it comes down to defining a dirty player. To me, a dirty player is one who intentionally tries to injure another. I suppose it could include an habitual professional fouler. In my book, however, Parker is not a dirty player. I've never seen him set out to intentionally damage, or injure, anyone. I'm far more suspicious of some of Mr Scholes' "mistimed tackles"
