The first time I suggested that Benny should have been the MOM you threw you colostomy bag out of your wheelchair, but hey ho, your comments are appreciated

To be 100% honest and cocky of course :) out of all the players we have bought I have been extremely accurate on what I thought they would give us and if I thought they were good, bad or dreadful buys but I was totally wrong on BAE. I did not think he was anywhere near good enough and I did not think he would ever be good enough but he has developed into one of the top left backs in the league IMO.

Yes he drops the odd clanger (what defender does not ?) but generally he is dependable and unfortunately for me I have had to eat my words on that one :)

The top left back in the league Grandspurs, the top left back......but lets not shout about it too loud, we don't want the likes of Barcelona sniffing around do we? And not a bad striker either, he's scored more than Torres this season and on a par with Carroll.

I think Harry's real talent is in spotting players and then getting them to perform. He recognised in BAE what the previous two managers had not and then gave him a regular place to develop. Think of all the shock horror from fans when he said he wanted Parker and Adebayor and Kaboul, and Saha, and so on.

Some of the fans Spurf, some of them... <whistle>

I admit that I still feel underwhelmed by the last couple of transfer windows though, as much because of our inability to get rid of the dead wood as anything.

And Gallas! He's been unfortunate with injury after injury this season but he was invaluable to us last season, particularly in the CL?

True. Personally, I was against Parker - didn't think we needed him. So, I got that wrong. Kabul has been a revelation, but only very recently. Before, it was easy to see why so many fans doubted Harry's judgement. However, he's finally matured - probably not entirely unconnected with the amount of time he's spent partnering Ledley. Adebayor, I've always rated - so I was very much in favour. Saha, good yesterday. But, juries still out on him, for me.

I was personally 100% in favour of Parker (took some stick on ja for it as well), I am still to be convinced by Adabayor. I will say his work rate is top class but IMO for a supposed top striker his first touch is abysmal 9 times out of 10 and his finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

Who would match his work rate and ability to both hold up and distribute the ball, while improving on his touch and finishing, without costing the earth and demanding wages to match, GS?
Adebayor's not perfect, but he fits our system perfectly.

I don't care who scores the goals as long as we keep winning. Adebayor is important for his ability to hold the ball up front which is just what we have lacked for some time. Making goals is just as important as the the final touch to put it in the net. I have no doubts about him except, will we keep him.

Same as, but him and Saha looked right on the same wavelength last weekend. Sometimes this just happens, no real explanation for it, 2 forwards just mesh. Ade and Defoe don't look good together at all imo, fingers crossed Ade and Saha can crack on, ade is an intelligent player, so is louis, JD I'm afraid is a bit headless chicken, doesn't get his head up because he's too busy looking down sorting his terrible first 'and' second touch out.
