Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Mike, you know I totally agree with you on a lot of issues, the ambitious Barrie looks at the bigger picture and what might be in a free market Scottish economy... But you can see what the Scotch electorate is like - just by reading this thread.

You've got;

ST - "why does anyone even care about the economy". He's part of the RIC (Radical Indy Campaign) who wants to turn the country into 1920's USSR, assassinate anyone who earns more than £20k a year.
MD-2020 - Stoned out his tits and thinks that the state should take care of everything because he's a lazy ****.
Bib - With his clothes and political views, he wouldn't look out of place in Cuba.Aldo - Purple faced simpleton, another wealth hater.
Venom - Quite clever, don't really know why he's voting Yes apart from he's a Tim.
Eric Cartman - Thinks that the state taxes people to spend on people <laugh>
Dev - Hates the queen, thinks that by voting Yes, this will end the queen (was quick to accept the queens coin when shooting Keerins dad in Belfast)

You know that Scotland will not take the 'correct' route to flourish. The population are thick as **** and the working class are subsidy junkies. Scotland will take 30 years to recover from Indy if they pursue the same disastrous course that Labour took and Salmond wants to re-embark on and "reverse the Tory cuts"... (the same cuts that are required due slash the deficit)

<laugh> I might use the comments about Bib and Venom in my signature!

Typical falsiloquence from the 'troubled' businessman.

Regarding the syphilitic ramblings of Sash William. I am not a wealth hater Sash. In fact part of the reason I am voting Yes is to keep our wealth in Scotland instead of sending down south to be pissed up against a wall.<cheers>

That's what makes me laugh (well, not really). People like Bazza trumpeting on about "the debt, THE DEBT Tarquin" without even realising he's defeating his own argument about staying in the UK. It's not Scotland's fault the debt is so high. It's Westminster. Vote Yes and get them to **** once and for all.

Now **** off, all of you.

The debt... is so big big because of Labour's ruinous economics, the Tories do what the Tories always do, get in and unwind the pish that Labour left them with, cutting back on benefits etc....

Whether in Scotchland or Nigeland, the debt is too big... But Salmond is vowing to unwind Tory 'austerity' (if you can even call it that) and embark on the same as before policies that led the UK to becoming the most indebted nation on Earth (public and private debt), all whilst increasing pensions, increasing benefits, giving people £5k of childcare AND cutting taxes.... Now I'm no rocket surgeon but that does not compute...

So, the UK has a manageble debt if you consider it a political decsision, but the UK is also afforded a certain degree of flexibility by the markets due to its size and its track record and the fact that it is seen to be reining in public spending which is why we are in the debt mire that we are in... but if the newly independent Scotland is not seen to be paying down its debt then it will face higher interest charges, which it will be facing anyway as a newly independent state, unfortunately.

But economics? Who even cares about that, eh?

You keep ER, what more could you possibly want<ok>

ER's worth **** all though.

Unlike most things his age, he isn't considered priceless.

We also want the British Indian Ocean Territory and Bermuda. You can have Falkland and St Helena

I don't give a **** about other territories.

We can't be forced to take responsibility for debt which is essentially UK debt. The fact that we are willing to pay our share should at least bring some sort of guarantee that the assets of the UK will be shared fairly.
