Salmond repeatedly saying it doesn't mean it's agreed...

We may keep the pound but it needs to be as part of a currency union - there lies the problem.

The BBC <laugh> There is a difference between information and propaganda. The currency is not a problem as you put it. Scotland has a balance of payments surplus meaning that ANY currency it has will be strong. The UK has a balance of payments deficit which means its currency needs proping up. We don;t NEED a currency union it is just considered by leading Economists to be the best option for both parties. Not all those voting for Independence agree.

But think about it: You can't get a definitive answer to an agreement between two sides if one of the sides doesn't want to reveal its hand. So far The Liberals, Labour or Tories have NOT explained their plan B ie what will they offer in the event of a YES vote! You see how the media dictates the question and then give its own answer.

Without an agreed currency union , a Scottish pound would be worthless.

What gives England the right to tell us we can't keep it?

Nothing does and it's just bluster. Everyone knows that if you go independent you'll keep it. As has ben said many times before if Scotland doesn't use the pound the fall out for the UK in terms of loss of confidence on the international markets will be huge.
