Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
The BBC <laugh> There is a difference between information and propaganda. The currency is not a problem as you put it. Scotland has a balance of payments surplus meaning that ANY currency it has will be strong. The UK has a balance of payments deficit which means its currency needs proping up. We don;t NEED a currency union it is just considered by leading Economists to be the best option for both parties. Not all those voting for Independence agree.

But think about it: You can't get a definitive answer to an agreement between two sides if one of the sides doesn't want to reveal its hand. So far The Liberals, Labour or Tories have NOT explained their plan B ie what will they offer in the event of a YES vote! You see how the media dictates the question and then give its own answer.

It's pretty hard to explain your plan B when you don't actually have one <ok>

The BBC report that the other parties are not agreeing to a currency union...that's a fact.

Until it's agreed with them and boe then there can be no claim that we will have a Scottish pound that shared the same value.

Not one side is being factual on the matter...and that's pissing me off.

Issues like this need resolving...not bluster.

Without an agreed currency union , a Scottish pound would be worthless.

Nonense.

You can not back that statement up with any facts because it is just not true.

I thought you were in finance?

The strength of a countrys currency is based on the strength of its economy. Scotland has the strongest economy of all the countries in the UK check out the video.

That's another catchy wee tune. The videos in here this morning have been fantastic.

Seeing as its the favourite buzzword...

That's yes propoganda.

You'll argue that it's 100 per cent fact. The no campaign will say it's not.

That's the issue for the undecided...

I think the link from The Guardian asks serious questions about that video Pud i.e. it is full of half truths.
That's what I was alluding to G...

I suggest some read it but no doubt it's just propaganda. Nothing that goes against yes opinion is fact. It's all propaganda.

Just do the checks yourself the info is all out there. The NO campaign has not provided any facts it just tries to rubbish the YES camp.

Have you seen any vision from NO that's right NO there isn't one.

You really are patronizing.

Sure, no problem, it quite simply wasn't taking into account that most of the industries are foreign owned.

That is the way modern capitalism works nothing new there and it does not affect the the truth of the strength of the Scottish economy. They are not there because they like the scenery.
