He's one of the greatest politicians in the UK these days.

He's taken the SNP from nowhere and got the party its wish for a in/out referendum on Scottish independence which is a remarkable achievement, all things considered.

I think the final step will be a bridge too far for most Jocks who see the Union as offering security rather than the huge leap of faith based on a commodity that is finite, that is what the SNP are asking the Scots electorate to take.

The whole debate has been immature and bad-tempered and a waste of time in the main as all points made for and against, were all based on assumptions that the SNP would gain power after Independence.
