Should Scotland be an Independent Country?

  • Yes

  • No

Results are only viewable after voting.
Him and his old man phoned a bookie and got a tenner on at 3million / 1

It is my old man who is against it and he was the one for the war.

He used to be a staunch labour voter until he started buying the daily mail now he votes tory. As I said if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it. It worked for Hitler.

The difference these days though is that the majority of people no longer get their news from the papers.

Yes i'm in favour of it but again it does not follow that everyone who wants independence will vote for it. On the other hand everyone who wants to remain as part of the UK will vote to stay in. The No vote will probably win it, don't forget there are hundreds of thousands of foreigners in Scotland, lots of them are English.

Yes but there are millions who are for it. As I said we had the same situation with the Iraq war yet why do you think they refused to put that to a vote?

The same reason they will probably never put a vote on the EU to the electorate.

Exactly. They always know where the true opinion polls are and if they don't like the predicted outcome then they refuse to allow a vote. Democracy in practice.

**** off back to the celtic board *****.

do you even know what the population of Scotland is? not all can vote. millions my ****in arse.

even though fatso salmond reduced the voting age to 10.

I think the opinion polls are true. If you are a company like Ipsos Mori your whole reputation lies on getting accurate result sets - and anyway, surely skewing the results in favour of 'No' could lead to No supporters becoming complacent - if No were genuinely losing they'd be making mad rallying calls making sure every one of their supporters gets out on the day.

In saying that the (smallish) sample size of Scots I know the vast majority are Yes supporters - I just assume that my wider social group is not representative (Celtic supporters, Uni graduates, sentimental ex-pats)

Were the opinion polls accurate regarding the iraq war or staying in Europe?

Work it out. Who would benefit most from Scotland gaining independence.

certainly not us in the north east.

do you want to qualify your statement about millions?

have a guess what the population of Scotland is, go on I dare you as a proud skirt wearing scotchman.

go on then, bearing in mind there is no clear majority and babies are not allowed to vote.

It is fairly obvious if you think about it properly.

What political party gains the most if Scotland splits from the union?

Clue: Think back to ciaran's comment regarding only allowing a vote in certain circumstances.

do you know the population of Scotland for ****s sake??

go on have a guess how many of this tiny population are eligible to vote?

millions, jesus wept you have not got the first clue about the country you think are destined for independence.

how many foreigners in Scotland like Dev said? All for independence? um doubt it.

Is it starting to sink in? The tories don't want us as we will never vote for them. Getting rid of Scotland would seriously help their general election prospects.

All we have are the labour backed Scottish newspapers trying their hardest to spin the myth that we are better together but how? Why the **** should we stay part of a union where the main power holder doesn't want us?

The fact that the snp are now the majority party in Scotland should tell its on tale.

well I don't want the so called snp majority party governing us in the north east, they have not got a clue what it will cost to set up for a start.

hardly the best of ****in starts is it?
