"Scotland's fiscal balance worsened considerably between 2011-12 and the latest year 2012-13, going from a deficit of £4.6 billion to one of £8.6 billion.

"This was due in the main to a large decline in North Sea tax revenues, which fell by over 40%.

"As around 90% of UK North Sea revenues are allotted to Scotland, based on a geographic share, this means that Scotland's fiscal balance relative to the UK has also worsened. In 2011-12, Scotland had a relatively better fiscal balance than the UK, when measured as a percentage of GDP and in terms of per head of population. In 2012-13, that position has reversed and the UK is in a slightly better position. Over the last five years, the two countries have averaged similar fiscal balances.

He added it sent a "clear message that Barrow is laying the ground to be the UK's main hub for the new generation of nuclear submarines for decades to come".

Good, the vast majority of Scottish people don't want an outdated and embarrassing form of defence in our country anyway.

Most of England will be suitable for submarine use within 25 years anyway. You lot will need them.

The oil is ours.

Shell can say whit they want but are they gonny refuse to do business with us?

Same goes for all these other companies that are "looking into" moving operations south of the border. So whit.

What pisses me off is the various CEO's of whatever companies thinking they have a say. Get tae ****. They ****ers will still do business any which way.

Wooft...

Davie "one of us" Cameron has just promised further devolution of powers to Scotland if we vote No to independence.

Are they ****ting themselves or what?

In the event of a Yes vote they see themselves sinking under the weight of Wales and NI. Wales used to have heavy industry until it was usurped by the UK. NI never had **** all. But yet they both draw resources from the UK.

"Please stay with us Scotland we'll be nice to you we promise."

Get tae **** you tory ****er.

Bye bye Nigelshire. Davie "one of us" Cameron is doing a good job of pushing a Yes vote.

Haw, Jip, sticky this thread. It's important to me and my people.
