so how will living in an independent country be "fairer" for yer average joe. How would life be "fairer" for me for instance?

It won't.

We will be taxed to the hilt to fund independence set up which is why the nats don't want us to know what the set up will cost us until after they get their way (which is now extremely unlikely).

No, they're merely pointing out that as part of Great Britain we live in a deeply unequal country. It doesn't have to be like that and it doesn't mean you can't live in a fairer country and be well off.

It's a populist sound bite which blames the 20% for the woes of the 80%.

Do you know how much money you need to earn to be in the 20%? Roughly £44k. Imagine being made to feel responsible for exploiting other people, just because you've barely made it to the stage of being financially comfortable.

Who's blaming anyone? Stop sounding like a paranoid Celtic fan. Pointing out that we have an unequal society which needs to be improved is not blaming someone for earning a decent wage. It's blaming the system that allows it to happen.

And in the meantime, whilst the desperate middle classes scrabble up the greasy pole and the overstretched proles resent them for it, the actual rich (proper loaded ****s with homes in London, Paris, Moscow and Dubai) rape us all while refusing to pay any tax. And the likes of you applaud them in the hope you'll one day become proper rich yourself (which you won't do working for someone else btw. You daft 'aporth).

You read like something out of the 1970's.

Tell me, Julian. Tell me how you fix the "system" that allows people to make more money than others.

But you do understand how threatening it is to someone who reaches the £44k mark and starts paying 40% tax on every extra penny they earn - to hear a party saying they want to take more from you? You look around and see rich ****s all over the place, but every time you get a pay rise from now on they're going to take almost half of it off you after NI - as if you are one of the rich ****s!

I said earlier that I think the Yes campaign have been wrong to ignore the middle class.

That right, aye?

Put your house, shares, cash etc in an asset protector and don't pay inheritance tax or capital gains tax and still take out 5% of the amount yearly.
