To put things in perspective, from what I remember we had a brilliant pre-season the year we got relegated and a **** one the year we finished 5th - getting beat something like 6-1 of Orient days before the season. Straw grasping aside though, there's a hell of a lot of work to do defensively and some of it needs to be done with a cheque book.

Should swap Saylor and MYM and see if that improves them any.

Very similar players, very similar ability levels. Both can play full back so no harm in doing so. I think MYM is the more at natural full back. The concern has to be, neither looked good at centre back for quite some time!

We look dead in the legs. Haidara in particular looks absolutely ****ed. He is tripping over the ball and can't get it out of his feet. I wouldn't read much into this. We are clearly leggy.
