    Quite simply worse than last season so far. Our players don't seem fit. They seem like they have no positions and no movement. Its a shambles.

    Jesus titty f**king christ. The whole defence are giving the opposition too much room. Tbh the whole team have been wretched. Mbiwa wasn' t too bad until that moment in the third goal which was very worrying. The whole ethos of the team is flat. No drive or spirit there at all. Rudderless, slow and no creative spark.

    Yanga's been poor at RB. Colback and Abeid have been non-existant. A few good touches from Cabella, Haidara, and Sissoko. Perez hasn't had a touch of the ball through no fault of his own. Everyone else has been pap.

    3-0. MYM had two men to deal with there but didn't look bothered. Good job this game is a testbed because we've looked awful here.

    Well that was a bit ****!

    Don't want to read too much into it but like Matt Jackson said, its a worry that so many of the basics were wrong.

    HT thank **** thats over. Lets see what team comes out for the second half. Our positioning was all wrong in defense and little support from the sitting midfielders. Armstrong and Perez have barely figured in the game through no fault of their own.

    The back 4 to a man have been shocking. I was gonna say Colo the worst but Haidara, Mbiwa and Saylor have all been absolutely shocking. The wide lads have got as much time as they want.

    Er Colback looked tidy........best I can say <laugh><laugh>

    Obviously only pre season and they look leggy (training will be heavy at this stage). No need to get too despondent or down on anyone.

    So what changes would people make? to start with I'd go for:

    Taylor -> Willo
    MYM -> Anyone
    Colback -> Tiote
    Abeid -> Anita

    [QUOTE=Hung,Drawn **** off

    I hate pardew

    he's a moron how much evidence is required.

    I predict a disastrous team selection for city and then when we lose at villa people will see what I've been going on about. These signings will be useless playing under his management.

    To put things in perspective, from what I remember we had a brilliant pre-season the year we got relegated and a **** one the year we finished 5th - getting beat something like 6-1 of Orient days before the season. Straw grasping aside though, there's a hell of a lot of work to do defensively and some of it needs to be done with a cheque book.

    If malaga were six nil up you wouldn' t begrudge them. A friendly yes but the ease of which they are dealing with us is slightly worrying. Elliot has that utter patheticness about him. When he stacked it for that goal kick I couldn't help but laugh.

    I'm not a fan of Elliot but he's been about the best we had on the pitch (discounting the front two who couldn't get a touch through no fault of their own)

    I assume Haidara must be tired, he hasn't closed down once. I am not convinced with him still. Dummett is better defensively but offers little going forward. I can't even blame Elliot. I suppose we just have to be patient. Saylor and Mbiwa showing the exact same signs though, no defensive instinct of where they should be. Makes no difference if they are a three, centre back or full back. The basic art of putting yourself in the right area is missing for both. They rush around without thought.

    We definitely need a centre back. I still maintain we have a lower half set of defenders quality wise. Janmaat will improve us but we still look poor at left back and centre back.

    Agree, dont think that was fair on Elliott, he's made some good saves to keep the score down.

    Why its pre season? I'm sure he'll say its disappointing but only pre season. He'd be right.

    The comments on here suggest we'll get the same old hysteria. Yeah there are some worrying signs but lets not get silly, you don't get points for these games.
