Not so sure about Geraghty for the JP job london_man - he has horses all over the bloody place and you see McCoy carrying his silks at all the big meetings but also at Carlisle or Southwell on a Tuesday, which I don't think would be Geraghty's cup of tea at all. There are certainly going to be 2 very attractive jobs going next season - retained jockey for JP and stable jockey to Jonjo

Ste - that's a jockey who could take the JP job. Top, top jockey.

Townend is not a top jockey Bob he's a hindrance on one over a fence pulls the neck off and offers no encouragement over the obstacles at all. He's done ok thus far riding Willies string (that sounds worst than its meant) but any members of this forum could have carried them to win.

You're right Oddy. Wonderful job. Depends how ambitious he is I suppose. Does he want to have first pick of horses for JP or does he want to have a conveyor belt of second choices for the best trainer in Ireland? I've no idea. JP could split the job between Mark Walsh in Ireland and another in England.

Mark Walsh was odds on for the JP job earlier. Classy jockey. Be nice for it to go to someone over a 'name' IMO.

Sewn Up at 7/2 will do for me here... seems a lot of money around for Gigawatt but I'm not so sure about that one albeit on a very capable mark. Hope Dalgleish has this one ready tonight.

Wow!!! What a day. First Spurs demolish the gooners in the north London derby, probably contributed to AP's bombshell and I tip three winners and a place. Lots of Cheltenham clues today. First up coneygree is top class, I hope he goes for the gold cup because he is the only horse I'd be worried about in the RSA the young master only needs to turn up. Have a look at Mr moles form, it's rock solid. Those two for me are bankers for the festival

Unfortunately when I moved house in October, I cancelled my Sky subs, so have no sports channels. I didn't know that Murphy beat the Rocket, must be favourite for the final now

Yep he came from 4-2 down to win 5-4. Well I would say himself and it look's like Selby will win this other semi will probably both be like 5/6 with those pesky bookies. Murphy is the form man now though after his recent Masters victory.

Smashing horse. Not sure where the soft reputation comes from. He did have a breathing problem, I could go on at length about how that affects a racehorse and how the operation doesn't always solve the horse fully straight away.
Anyway, come Arkle day you really don't want to see this one in your slipstream when you turn for home!
What a brilliant syndicate horse, Axom just keep finding really good horses.
