In the dash I am concentrating on the 3 horses drawn highest with Boom the Groom the most likely of those to win
Are the two Derby favourites guaranteed to stay, I'm not so sure myself and having watched a non-stayer fold yesterday I'm backing one today whose proven over the trip. Venice Beach 12/1 (each-way, top 4 places). Obviously next to nothing between the Ballydoyle lot and can see this one staying on well late on.
I've sided with Cliffs of Moher, but not with any great confidence. I quite like Olivia Fallow at a price in the Dash, whose trainer seems to like her a lot and is well drawn. Good luck everyone today.
I watched the derby trial at chester won by Venice beach ... I'm backing WINGS OF EAGLES ew - finishing off strongly after running a bit green - could be a bit of value ,,, we will know at 430 - good luck to all
**** sake Emenem rather just come last, boxed in nowhere to go, ****ing probert lucky **** should of lost
I can't help thinking that if there was any confidence from The Lads in CLIFFS OF MOHER he'd be a much shorter price than 9/2. Obviously I'm hoping for a Frankel winner!
Nicely done by Magic Bear there.Clinical Approach caught my eye in 3.00 7/1.Bolger won this race last year and yard are starting to find some winners of late after a slow start to the season.
Tartini is after destroying a lot of form for the derby. Off 95, got the perfect run and finished very poorly.
According to John Gosden, his former pupil, in the Sporting Life in 1994: “As Noel Murless used to say, when you think you’ve got several Derby horses, you haven’t got one.” I thought that Cliffs Of Moher looked very ill at ease with being continually on the turn at Chester, so I wonder how he will handle Tattenham Corner; and as you say The Lads have not weighed in (yet). If Best Solution does not win, I hope Frankel levels the British Classic winners account with old rival Nathaniel.
EDWARD LEWIS - 12/1 ew for me on the dash And like Beefy- VENICE BEACH- 14/1 ew for me in the Derby! Cheekpieces worked for Ruler of the World hoping it does the same for him!
Backed Permian for this year's Derby with no conviction in my reasoning whatsoever. The more I look through, I think all of them can win it! Seems we have a fair spread of selections for it with none bullish, something has to win the bloody thing after all.
