Not saying for one minute that we're looking at him when you consider we have Liam R plus the fact he has been playing for Bolton but I saw him today in Willerby.

It was around half two and he was walking past the Sainsburys.I just thought it was a bit odd , he's not from 'round here and was with some middle aged bloke.I suppose there could be endless reasons why he back in this area mind.

Would be nice having him and rosi bombing up and down either wing, but from what I've seen he's been playing fairly regularly for bolton, id imagine it was more him just being in the area visiting friends / family

To good to hope.

If only he was coming back on loan, getting rid of him was a massive mistake, just the same as Turner and Myhill. To think in terms of transfer value we swapped Ricketts for McShane and then gave McShane £25,000 a week!!!!!

Was it a mistake "getting rid" of Myhill. We have had excellent keepers on loan, with luck we may be able to keep one of them. They command their area, could you honestly say the same about Myhill?

yes he is going to come back to Hull City earning a fraction of what he is earning now, and significantly less than he was earning when he left wanting more money! And all this to be a stand-by reserve for any of our existing back 4??? Get real people. In fact I was probably seen in Calderdale and Manchester today and I dont even live there. Was I just there to see some old collegues and friends or am I moving back there?

Why would he be a reserve for our back 4? He's a million times better than dawson <whistle>

It would be class having him at LB with Rosenior RB though, that'd be an amazing back 5 with Gerrard Chester and Mannone.

He was one of my favourite players in the promotion season and first prem season, quality attacking full back.

Before he went Brownie was quoted as saying " there is an improved contract in the wind but Sam has to show us consistency."

This Sam being the same one who was one of the few consistent players we had at the time. Could judge a good larker could brownie.

You need to read what I posted again pal.Not for one minute did I say he was coming back here, just thought I'd share with everyone on here the fact that I'd seen him.I thought that was pretty obvious.

yeah read the first post again properly!

Brown got rid because they didn't get on.. he was very adept at alienating players.. in fact I wouldn't be surprised if half the PNE squad are made to stay back at Deepdale with their noses to the corner tomorrow..

Brown can destroy a football team for no good reason. He got us promotion but he need a success to get his career back on track. Once he did that it went to his head. As was said, Ricketts could play at RB, LB and CB. To be honest I'd have kept Kilbane for similar reasons. Having a utility player as cover saves a lot of wages.
