Just got in. Saw this. ****. Unbelievable news. So sorry for the families and those close. Shattered.
So sad about Sala, Football becomes irrelevant at a time like this. It is looking like a tragic accident that nobody wants to see.....
How sad is this. A journey that must have been full of excitement and anticipation ends in complete tragedy for his family and friends as well as Cardiff City. Awful awful news.

Absolutely awful, poor guy. I was watching his goal clips when I couldn't sleep last night, then woke up to this terrible news.
Awful news. Condolences to both lots of families involved and everyone at Cardiff. You didn't deserve this.
No him and his family don’t deserve this.

Looks like we will miss more than just a footballer. He was clearly loved by his fans and team mates at Nantes and looking forward to his opportunity at Cardiff.
The Daily Fail is not known for its sensitivity but there is a lovely article in there today.

Many thanks to all thread contributors. Had to post to relieve the hollow feeling in both myself and on here in general, so here's just something.
Little comfort for Emiliano and his family but relieved to hear CCFC weren't involved in the decision to use that method of transportation.

I still have faith! How little that may be. The reports are all saying they are investigating the fact that they made it onto the life raft from the planes emergency pack. I'm holding faith! Lets hope that both Emiliano and David Henderson (I believe his name is) are still alive and fighting!!
