Lallana will hurt em. Harte has a wand of a left foot but isn't much kop as a full back.

Harte is painfully slow. He'll be there for the taking when we get De Ridder on. His left foot is the only reason he still plays Championship football.

Davis,
Richardson, Hooiveld, Fonte, Fox
Chaplow, Cork, Hammond, Lallana
Lambert, Sharp

Martin, Harding, De Ridder, Guly, Barnard

Straight 442, no diamond nonsense. De Ridder on second half if we're in need of an impact.

We have been given a chance to show we fully deserve the title...the team must be at their best. At their best, we are the best team in the league. We don't need a repeat of Blackpool. A draw will be okay, but I'm sure everyone will be up for a win.

I really don't think this is a "must win" game for either side. If we lose (I don't think we will), we will still be three points ahead of West Ham if they beat Brighton (I think they will). That leaves us three games to get 6 points. That is a very achievable number.

Same goes for Reading. If they lose, their next two games at ahome to Forest and Palace.... think they'll win those and then they only have to worry about a point against Birmingham or goal difference.

Agree with this. People are building the game up as a championship decider but nothing will be decided on the night. I'd put money on the fact that if the teams are drawing at HT, they will be drawing at FT. Neither team wants any further injuries or suspensions to jeopardise automatic promotion COYS

Davis
Richardson, Hoover, Fonte, Fox
Chaplow, Hammond, Cork, Lallana
Sharp Lambert

De Ridder on for Chaplow once their full backs get tired, has the potential to tear them apart.

Good feeling about this 3-1 Lambert x2 and Cork with a 35 yard screamer please.

I reckon Guly will start instead of Sharp allowing him to drop back into the midfield when Reading have the ball. I also expect Richardson to be recalled into the starting XI.

I hope we take control of the game from the beginning, show intent. It can be hard to get back in the game if you get it wrong at the start. Either that or play the second half first, because that's when we are usually better.

We will win comfortably, 3-1. Reading will run out of steam and we will win the title by 5 points.

Banksy, I do believe that you will beat us on Friday.

That said, it won't be because we'll run out of steam. Believe me, we are a full 90 minute team. The amount of late goals we've scored, when our opponents have run out of steam, is testament to that.

But if your lads are a goal up, with a few minutes to play, and they take their foot off the pedal, they'll be playing right into our hands.

My feeling is we will draw this, and Reading will win the last three and the title, us in second. Their form is unstoppable and the way they responded to defeat at Peterborough makes me think they will keep it up to the end. Should be a great game whatever the result.

Don't think Reading are better than us. They lost to P'boro, we lost to Blackpool. We should have won against Portsmouth, whereas they nearly lost to Brighton. A missed penalty cost Brighton a point. That's how close things are. We are on the same points and I see no reason why we can't win at home. Reading are not Real Madrid.

IMO Mike Dean is one of the best referees in the country.

Definitely, one of the top refs.

Crap assistant though, 5 minutes at QPR tonight as a sub, one decision to make...got it wrong. <laugh>

I think mike dean's one of the worst top end refs. Rides around on his high horse all match, no interaction with the players

Expect bookings... Lots of bookings

This is the key. I really hope that Adkins doesn´t over complicates things and change formations and tactics just because it is Reading. I hate it when we play with a diamond midfield as we need to play with plenty of width, getting Fox and Richardson involved as much as possible. If we play with a diamond we play too narrow and if we do that then we play right into Reading hands as it will be a very congested game, like the reverse fixture, and that suits Reading much better.
....This is going to be a very, very tough game and we need everyone to be on form if we want to win this, so I really hope Guly doesn´t start. He is too inconsistent and might have one of his many off days....Chaplow has to start.

I don't know why, but yet again, I think we will win. (as I said before Monday, no clue why, but I said 0-2 and got it correct haha)

2-1

It will be great to have a normal match to play, albeit an important one. I was thinking back to the derby. Any other match, after scoring what should have been the winning goal, we would have played a bit of keepball for 3 minutes and won the game. I am hoping for the same domination, but a bit more composure should we get into a match-winning situation.

I'd be delighted with a win (because we'd be virtually guaranteed to go up) and satisfied with a draw, but if Reading wins, all credit to them...they would deserve the title, because their form has been unbelievable. To play Blackpool, West Ham, Leeds, Brighton and ourselves in consecutive games and come away with fifteen points would be remarkable, even without the 28 points taken out of 33 possible in the games preceding.
