Last Time Round
Derby 1-1 SAINTS
(Lambert scored to ensure that Saints took a deserved point after Derby took an early lead.)

Team News:
Saints are close to have a fully fit squad.
- Richardson limped off against West Ham in mid week so he is a doubt for this weekends game.

My Prediction:
Team:

Davis
Harding, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox
Guly, Hammond, Cork, Lallana
Sharp, Lambert

Subs: Bialkowski, Martin, Schneidrlin, Connolly, Lee

We also have players like Falque, Barnard, Chaplow, Puncheon, De Ridder etc plus some youngsters so places really are up for grabs now.

My Prediction:
Score:

SAINTS 3-1 Derby
(Sharp 2, Lallana)

We've played very well in the last two games and I am confident we can keep it up, considering Derby have fallen back hugely in recent months.

Get behind the team!

Come On You Saints!

More to follow...

My team for this match:

Davis
Richardson (Harding) , Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox
Puncheon, Hammond, Cork, Lallana
Lambert, Sharp

Subs:
Martin, Lee, Guly, Morgan, Connolly.

Not sure if Nigel will go back to having a Keeper on the bench, until we get 7 subs again. We have so many options now with SDR, Chaplow, and others not even making the bench.

I am going for a 4-0 win. Scorers - Sharp, Puncheon, Richardson (Harding), Lee

My squad based on the players ability

Davis
Richardson fonte hooiveld fox
Puncheon cork Schneiderlin lallana
Lambert sharp

Subs
Harding
Martin
Chaplow
Guly
Connolly

My my how quick we are to forget Chaplow's contribution before being injured if neither of you two give him a place on the subs bench.

I don't think Chaplows contribution has been forgotton, I just don't think he will be put on the bench unless fully fit otherwise its a waste of a (already limited) spot on the bench

Hopefully he is fully fit because I don't think much of our midfield as it is.

Yes Spider can make a pretty pass and Cork can also show some nice touches and movement but we have no drive no commanding figure in the middle no general to stamp our authority on the game and put us on the front foot.

It's so frustrating not being able to have a 7 sub bench! We have a big squad now and players are going to be left disappointed.

Derby are not getting results at the moment and are better at Home than Away. In their last 5 away games they have picked up just 5 points loosing to Barnsley and Ipswich, Drawing with Millwall and Burnley but beating Hull.

They don't score many goals, and have only scored 13 away from home this season, conceding 22. Winning 4, drawing 4 and loosing 7 away from home this season.

And in case you need reminding, despite a recent blip, our home record is pretty damn good. Won 12, Drawn 2, Lost 2, F 33, A 12 Pts 38

A nice early goal from Billy Sharp to set the tone for the day. Score early and we tend to be in the mood to win games comfortably. Important game, must not get complacent and expect an easy three points. Excellent opportunity to put pressure on West Ham, Blackpool and Birmingham who are not playing Championship football this weekend. COYR!!!

Was at Pride Park earlier in season but will not be at this one as it is my birthday.

I shall be 34 so hoping for 3 points and 4 goals scored by us :)

Team for me:

Davis
Richardson/Harding Fonte Hooiveld Fox
Guly Schneiderlin Cork Lallana
Lambert Sharp

Subs
Martin, Hammond, Puncheon, Lee, Chaplow

youre obviously right about before he was injured he was fantastic but now hes back and with only 5 subs, he isn't going to be getting his chance again until an injury in all honestly. it looks like hes 4th choice in midfield, at least second choice on the left and at least third choice on the right.

---------------Davis---------
Stephens--Fonte---Hooiveld---Fox----
Puncheon--Cork----Morgan----Lallana---
-----------Sharp-----Lambert--------
Subs:Chaplow,Lee,Hammond,Martin and Guly.

I hear what your saying but why?

Cork, Spider and Hammond haven't exactly been setting the world alight our form has been bloody awful to tell the truth.

not so sure i agree with that to be honest but hes lost the shirt for now and he will get a chance to get it back at some point during the run in, whether its injuries or keeping legs fresh, then he will get the chance to become a regular again. in my opinion, he isn't in my starting midfield with everybody fit so i don't see him just getting straight back in the team when he's fit again. happy to be proved wrong though as he is a very good player on his day.
