Building on the Spurs theme todyas Metro has us lining up a bid for Gomes in Jan. Good signing?

No thanx and no thanx to Friedel as well even tho he is a class keeper. I would like a keeper atound 25 so he could play for years wirh our very young squad. I don't wanr a keeper we will have to replace after a year.

I do see something in Gazzaniga which tells me he will be a very good keeper in years to come, just not now. Think a Friedel type keeper for a couple of seasons would be good whilst Gazza gets experience on loan somewhere. But tbh think if Boruc gets a run in the side he will prove how good he is and we won't really need a new keeper.

Non story from Sky!Southampton forward Gaston Ramirez admits he would think about returning to Italy in the future, but he is very happy in England. After struggling with injuries since arriving from Bologna in the summer, Ramirez - who is Southampton's record signing - has impressed massively in recent weeks.Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, he admits he would contemplate a move back to Serie A - but he insists that he is very happy in the Premier League."In Bologna I was fine, but now I think about Southampton," he said."Coming back to Italy? In England I discovered a fantastic football. But in life never say never, in Italy, as well as in England, there are many important teams."Reports in Italy have linked him with Fiorentina and he admits he has been impressed by them under coach Vincenzo Montella."Me to Fiorentina? It would be nice, they are playing very well and I like coach (Vincenzo) Montella. In every game the team are having fun, they have great quality. Why not? I'd come back in Italy, I like it and I was fine there

Paul Robinsom for January to sort our goalkeeping crisis out please

Would like to see us buy another midfield spoiler for when SNidders or Corky are out - Trotter from Millwall would be a reasonably priced option and is playing really well

I mentionede Robinson the other day but he wasn't a popular option. Not sure about Trotter yet although Millwall do seem to be doing well.

From Talksport,
Newcastle and Wigan are hot on the trail of Netherlands wingerJeremain Lens, 24, who could leave PSV Eindhoven for £10m in January.

Hands off we saw him first!

I wasn't aware that either Newcastle or Wigan had £10m to splash? Nevermind, just noticed this is from talksport. Carry on.

Metro have another article linking Shaw with Chelsea. Again no facts> Its very irritating! Come on NC get him signed up to a long term deal!

A couple of weeks back, I commented that my Old man had heard a rumour that back in the summer we had been expecting an offer for Rickie from Liverpool. He heard that he had fallen out with Nigel.

Well, last night I was having a few beers and was talking to a current football agent and in conversation he mentioned that he'd heard Rickie to Liverpool in January. He said that people within the game hold him in high esteem and that his ball work and awareness is well respected and described him as "a Rogers type of player". I hope he's wrong.

I hope he's wrong as well, but wouldn't be surprised if he's right. Happy though Rickie seems here, I don't doubt that he'd leap at the opportunity to play for Liverpool, if they're interested; just hope that it doesn't come to pass in the middle of a relegation fight.

Lambert is really good player for us, but is he really the calibre of player that Liverpool will be after?
