35 Lamberts for Lambert, would be a pretty good deal.

Also, he does have a Liverpool tattoo. Should Liverpool come in, I think we need to expect the "I loved my time at Southampton, but..." speech.

Liverpool are broke, it would be rude of them to even suggest they are interested.

Unfortunately I agree....IF Liverpool came in for him.

But I don't think they will.

Surprised people are ven debating whether we would sell Lambert, simple fact is becasue he is nearly 31 it would'nt be worth our time to sell him, we would get no where near the value his ability is worth and he is imperative to the way we play. As well as that he is arguably the best striker we have ever had.

Maybe, it depends on whether you consider football to be more difficult to play now or back then. It also probably depends on the era in which you gre up watching saints, for me Lambert is the best striker we have ever had, just my opinion though.

I would say Channon was far better. Also Ron Davies. Also probably Steve Moran. And I know Terry Paine was more of a winger but him too.

i cant imagine you actually watched any of them play though? apart from video tape footage. which it is why it is difficult to make the call on who is best.

All of these and Kevin Keegan, twice European player of the year and PFA Player of the year playing with us.

I've watched a hell of a lot of that footage. More than enough to know that they were all world class players.

I cant imagine you would have watched enough to deem all of those players better than Lambert.

Yeah, I would have. Sorry if you can't imagine that, but it's not really any of my concern. Maybe you should watch some of the footage yourself, there's a ton of it.

When Rickie has played on the International stage and scored goals as those players have except Steve Moran then maybe you will have a point. We had three other players that had unbelievable ability too...Peter Osgood, Charlie George and Frank Worthington although not quite as high achievers as the others.
