Don't think anyone can argue that a couple of experienced defensive heads in the squad would be good. We are bound to pick up injuries and possibly a ban.

Footylatest.com apologies I can't post a link again have us putting in a £5.5 million bid for Matty Phillips. Works with Frans young player point above.

Can see him leaving though Arry didn't give him a chance at Spurs and he's hardly what you'd descibe as a hard worker!

Can see him working at United in the Cantana roll, but where would that leave Rooney who fills that roll but with more energy.Out of the two without doubt I would go for Rooney although Taraabt is a good player and was the only QPR player that caused us any problems- still prefer Ramirez though.

Taarabt causes problems and then proceeds to waste the chances he creates by being a selfish prick. He will never play for a big team, especially not one that is managed by Alex Ferguson.

Totally agree

It's a shame because he seems to have all the ability in the world but plays most games with his head up his arse.

It's hardly worth arguing about though is it? if the right experienced player comes up and fits with the system then NA will certainly be interested.

I don't think anyone would argue with an experienced centre back with premiership experience (Dawson the obvious one but Granqvist and others possible?) a younger european centre back with big potential (and the potential to make an imediate impact) - prefrably one of these should be able to cover left back as well!

and possibly a right winger with pace and something different to compliment what we have already. this player can be more of a gamble on some one young with the right attributes to succeed (Phillips, Lens).
