I think he needs to position himself about 3 inches more to the leftJust a question. Assuming everyone wants Virgil and he stays in England, what do you think would be the best move for him?

Expect Gardos and Martina to leave. Not a shock and big loss but once a Saint always a Saint![]()
We could do with a bit of a clear out of peripheral players who aren't getting much of a look in.
It's better for them to leave and get game time and for use to bring in transfer fees and free up wages that will allow us to pay the players we want to keep and new incomers
Clasie shouldn't be sold. We still need a squad of capable players.
If we're looking at signing another CDM, then it's probably the end of the road for him here, I'd think.
I believe next year will be Maya's last. If anyone deserves an extension right now it's him!http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/prem...lle/spielerposition_id/alle/altersklasse/alle
List of players whose contracts are due to expire at the end of the season in the premier league.
Martin Caceres
Cuco Martina
Stuart Taylor
Lloyd Isgrove
The saints players on the list
Not expecting any of them to get a last minute extension
I too would keep Clasie especially if we can get another specialist DCM to allow him more freedom.Yep - Gazzaniga, Isgrove, Taylor, Martina, Gardos, Caceres and to a lesser extent Clasie and JRod will all leave in the summer, I think.
As our record signing (until certain add-ons are met with Gab) I think selling him would be a bad move. The guy had no pre-season and was constantly playing catch up. Give him a whole pre-season under Puel and we may just see a sensational player next year.I too would keep Clasie especially if we can get another specialist DCM to allow him more freedom.
I would definitely let JRod go as he is obviously very unhappy with things and we can get a decent fee for him.
Add Gallagher who appears in demand and sadly McCathy is out of contract in June who I would like to see back at SMS after another successful loan spell at Walsall.
One contentious suggestion for moving on ....Boufal. Hasn't developed or adapted at all, no doubt a big earner and adding nothing to the squad from where I am sat and is blocking the development of Sims
Boufal? No way. Give him a bloody chance. Injuries have disrupted his season and it takes time to adapt to the PL. I am confident he will become a really good player for us.I too would keep Clasie especially if we can get another specialist DCM to allow him more freedom.

He clearly has the ability to become a brilliant player. i don;t think anyone can question his skill. All he needs to do is to learn how and when to apply that ability in the premier league to become a great player. With the amount we paid for him and presumably pay him i doubt anyone will buy him, so i think he will be with us for a while and i have no doubt he will improve in that time and become a very good player.Boufal? unless he headbutts someone.
