Oh Kelvin, you are a legend.

“It was a very special moment for me when Kelvin gave me his personal JPT medal with the words: “Thank you for the last seven years. I think you should have this.”

Its a good read but i don't remember Reed ever being there when Markus was alive so her father would have struggled to discuss the club with him?

Reed joind the club in |April 2010 Liebherr died in August 2010 so this is not true “Right at the beginning, my father raised the following questions with Les Reed: Are we able to have a young dynamic team which is able to play fair and attractive football that convinces our fans? I understand her not wanting to give any credit to cortese but to make up stuff to hide his influence in the club is a bit silly.

I find it perfectly plausible that Les Reed could have been a football consultant brought in by Cortese when the idea of buying Southampton was first mooted, so this could be perfectly true. As a financial man (even with a speciality in the sporting world), Nicola would need someone grounded in football to help convince a rich man with no sporting background to invest. Seems like our Les was invested in our success right from the start.

What it does show (considering that she was perfectly happy to invite Poch to SKD's celebrations) is that Nicola really blotted his copybook with Katharina.

I note that her favourite time at the club was the JPT Final which she enjoyed with her father. Perfectly understandable, but I think it is also a favourite memory for most fans....a fun day out, Markus's smiling face and a win at Wembley. Perfect and not blemished at all by being a lower league trophy....the first true marker of our successful rise from the flames.

Well you could say April 2010 was at the beginning if you are talking about the last 7 years. She could also mean the beginning of Les Reed's tenure. Don't think we can say she is making stuff up.

A good article by the Echo.
