Mmmm.... We were all British back then, and the only thing I can think of to annoy the Welsh was the Scotland game at Anfield.

He handled the ball in the Scottish penalty area but the ref gave the penalty to Scotland so Wales missed out on going to the World Cup

Ouch! I was 7. I remember the game being at Anfield but didn't recall that incident. That 78 was my first Real World Cup watch. I watched a lot of it on a portable black and white television in a caravanette, on holiday in Wales
