It would be different if we were a struggling lower division side where money keeps you afloat, but we are not. Sometimes it is worth taking a financial hit for the good of the team...if you really need a player in one position, it may be worth risking him going on a free...not the ideal scenario, but one that may be necessary in certain circumstances.
