Just been reading about someone who has done some work round Jay Rods house and has said he should be running again in two weeks, so atm is seems the op went well.

Saints win v Hartlepool, including daft goal by Lambert courtesy of their goalkeeper. Also features a nice Lallana goal resulting from a long kick by Kelvin...he was a good keeper for us at that level in those days. [HASHTAG]#goodtimes[/HASHTAG]

If you look at the home crowd after Lallana's second goal there are some people applauding and I've seen the same thing after some of Matty's wonder goals. I have to say they are more sporting than me because I could never applaud an opposition goal no matter how good it was. It's not that I can't appreciate a skillful finish and I might reluctantly mumble something to that effect under my breath but I would be too pissed about us conceding a goal to actually applaud it.

The club Forster joined at the age of 8 and played for until he was signed by Newcastle at 15, are to receive £100,000 from the deal that took him from Celtic to Saints. That's going to make one hell of a difference to a club that small.

This was reported a few weeks back. It's good that the club get that money, but as mentioned at the time, it is a shame that not many know this can happen and they need to apply within a certain time frame.

Some interesting tidbits in that especially the clause about Sportings rivals <laugh>. If its true then Cedric really was a steal for €5.5m. Despite a bit of inconsistency defensively and his crippling addiction to head bandages he is a gifted player and with some more defensive discipline could be amongst the best Fullback/Wing backs in the BPL

can not wait to see him play when he actually see out of both eyes ;)

Nice to see that the young goalkeeper is a Saints fan. They're out there.

The lad is going to be the business for us. It made me laugh/annoyed there were people doubting it after half a game he got injured in and then his first couple of cameo appearances. Ridiculous expectation and understanding of the game.

He will fly.

Totally agree with that sentiment FLT, and we should get totally behind him as well as all the other lads. However, saying he "is going to be the business for us" is probably just as much an over-reaction to a very small sample size of performances as those doubting him. I'll grant you it's far better to be positive than negative, but being pragmatic, the truth is there's not enough evidence to support either stance at this stage. If you said it as a belief rather than a statement of fact (apologies for pedantry), then I'd be 100% with you.
