It sounds good and I'm going to look more up on it this morning. £12 to feed a kid for a year in school though? That can't be right, surely? I'm going to dig into that more.
Sounds ridiculously little for all that. Just need every Saints fan to give £12 and what a difference that could make. The players can give more because they are all loaded
I noticed that they are feeding them a local food (maize porridge?). This also makes sense...buy food locally and support the farmers. Far better than to import food over a distance.
When I went to Kenya, we were brought in food from outside the orphanage while the kids ate maize porridge. I (politely) refused the outside food and asked to eat the maize porridge* and whatever the small piece of green leaf thing was, with the children. *my bottom wasn't very good for the two weeks I was there
A game with a Connelly goal and assist....such a good player who suffered badly with injuries. Let's hope this doesn't happen to JRod.

http://www.theguardian.com/football...emier-league-football-age-information-unknown Article from the Guardian saying that there are no more surprises in football any more in the age of information....using Marian Pahars as an example of a complete unknown taking a club by storm. May be no more surprises, but it leaves us open to disappointments....wonderful video highlights don't always indicate a player who will work out for you.
Got only his second start of the year for Porto on the 2nd...got a straight red for a wild lunge (though in fairness, barely touched him, if at all).
A win from the Strachan season....remember how hopeful we all were for the next season...which never came.
http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/41299/ Found this sensible blog on SaintsWeb, where it has no right to be, so I liberated it and brought it over here. We all get cheesed off at one time or another because we want satisfaction now and not next year....after all some of other members are running out of time #Godders, but we need patience. There is the idea amongst some fans that if you don't improve every season you will inevitably slide into oblivion, but sometimes you just tread water. We are a good side at our best and a decent side at our worst...you couldn't say that in our previous incarnation in the EPL where we were decent at our best and god-awful though plucky at our worst. Ron and Fonte haven't helped by talking of the need for players....save it for the board...fans need only positive messages as we can't do anything about it and we can be miserable bastards without anyone putting doubts in our heads.
http://www.football365.com/news/five-vital-premier-league-30-somethings Fonte recognised as one of the five most essential 30+ yr-old players in the EPL.
Mind you. It's a bit harsh on poor Maya! Jose Fonte Whether it was Maya Yoshida and Jos Hooiveld in 2012/13, Dejan Lovren in 2013/14, Toby Alderweireld in 2014/15, or Virgil van Dijk this season, Jose Fonte has been Southampton’s constant in an era of central defensive upheaval. Since joining the club in 2010, Fonte has become a staple of a Southampton side that has risen through League One and the Championship, before establishing itself in the Premier League once more. The captain leads the way for club appearances in the current squad, nearly doubling the amount of Steven Davis – the only other player to play more than 100 games for Saints. The 31-year-old is the club’s longest-serving player, and is their only ever-present player so far this season. The Portuguese still can’t make Maya Yoshida look competent, but he is no magician.
