Birthday today so spent some time going through loads of old stuff my old dear had.

Among other things I came across a ticket for the Steaua Bucharest home leg. Reckon it's now the oldest ticket I've got :)
Yep happy birthday Libs.

You share this day with the lovely Mrs Billy :emoticon-0115-inlov

Hope you had a great day, we were in A&E until 01:45 this am getting our eldest sons ankle xrayed.

Was fuming, the fanny only had a sprain. Not a break in sight.

Poch on the overlap this week and it’s really rather good. I can fully see why he’s so loved by the teams he coaches. There’s also a lot about his Southampton time, usually it’s like it never happened and all they talk about is spurs and Chelsea but some great saints anecdotes in this one. Brought back some great memories.

Just had a chance to watch this fully. Has to be said, I completely agree with everything he says in this. He was really unfortunate in how things didn’t click & use’s the right examples of Liverpool in league cup & Swansea at home. Win those 2, confidence is up and it could’ve been very different for him. He had such a bloated squad and is clear he had decision fatigue and just couldn’t quite work out the jigsaw puzzle. I can only imagine it must be very difficult when you’re a new person, in a new country / footballing culture and trying to please so many people and build a chemistry in such a large squad. Everyone has their own egos & such too, so must been hard.

All that said, the time he lost his job was so necessary for our progression to where we are now & that’s where SR got it right, the most this season for me. Having a new manager bounce at the time we did and Tonda making the changes he did were massive.

I really do think Will Still will go on to do well in another job. Feel as though maybe he would do better in a project that needs a total rebuild with a squad of not enough players rather than too many. Maybe Sheff Wed would be a good place to restart? Gets to harness their young players, build from absolute scratch, new ownership, excitement for future without the pressure as no one expects anything & without the bloated squad and prima donna attitude that some of our lot had from being Prem players before. Could raid the loan market to hand pick the types of players he really needs, maybe even have his pick a few of the younger talented players from Saints that he knows from his time here that need minutes at senior level?

Genuinely wish him all the best, a lot more than I could ever say about Martin who I’m happy to see has fell flat on his charlatan face!

Can anyone remember if Saints charged a booking fee for the Arsenal game? I know we didn't for Leicester cup game but can't remember for Arsenal.

So my rough costs for this season are £3685 <yikes>

That includes the upcoming Boro games but obviously it will go up if we get through.

Didn't include the ticket for the Norwich league cup game I didn't go to but did include my speeding ticket I got on the way back from Hull.
And that is after tax money. Around £4500 of gross income!

How much of that is tickets and how much is tickets? We need a proper breakdown!

Below is the ticket breakdown so accounts for less than half.

Season ticket: £519.23
27 away tickets: £812.50
Other tickets (home cup/play off, wembley): £112
Booking fees: £46

The rest is travel minus a hotel and speeding ticket. Some of the travel is based on estimates mind.

Made me smile that the speeding ticket was for leggin it out of Hull.

The government must make thousands on that speed camera alone

£3685! You could buy a house in Stockton for that money. You wouldn’t want to live in it though, or keep a dog in it.
