Mate, I have been super super bored at work tonight so during my break I've taken a look at this. To the best of my knowledge these signatures (although possibly not the ball itself) are from the 07/08 season.

Through some quite frankly, shockingly diligent and brilliant detective work I have deciphered the following.
1) Although the ball looks like something from the early 90's, the club changed the ball on the badge in 1997.
2) Using "transfer market" I was able to get all the squad numbers from 1997 onwards
3) The partial signature with the number seven was useful as even from the small bit I can see it is not Le God's signature
4) Le Tissier stopped being our No.7 in 2002
5) I then googled the signatures of the No.30's from 2002 onwards, it was not Leandre Griffit, however it was a match for a Mr Youseff Safri
6) Safri played one season for the Saints 07/08
7) The number 6 for Southampton 07/08 (Next hexagon on the ball) at this time was Michael Svensson. Googling his signature confirmed a match and that this ball is from the 07/08 season.

God I'm really bored......

Dunno why but this really made me laugh <laugh>

Who knew we had ****ing Sherlock Holmes on the forum

Awful news. Will started so brightly with us.

Hope we can get some decent reinforcements soon with all this dosh we are getting from players sold!

Edit: One positive to take from that is we should see much more from Shea Charles in midfield.

Russell Martin: "We don't have a problem with the GK". Baz is number 1 and that will not change.
I think people are just ignoring that we have invested a lot in Bazunu. A fee of over £10m and wages that are high by championship standards. We’ve screwed ourselves in the past having two goalkeepers on big money by our standards and one not playing. For years our lowest goalkeeper salary of the two main ones (so McCarthy’s) was more than every number 2 in the league outside the big six. And was even higher than some of those (I think McCarthy was on more than the city and pool number 2s for example)

We can’t do it. So unless someone is coming in with a 10m bid for Baz (they aren’t) then that is that. We need to improve our all round defending

What a waste of time that seems to have been. Bunch of saints fans who seemed more interested in indulging themselves and enjoying the sounds of their own voices rather than asking proper questions

If they are going to do these they surely need to pre-screen the questions. And if they already do…blimey

I'm surprised you didn't go. You ask more questions than a 4 year old!
