Has anyone seen the quick interview with James Beattie on the Saints social media pages?

Apparently he didn't ask for a transfer and was called in by Redknapp who told him he was being sold. Beatts said he didn't want to go but was told be was the only saleable asset!

He said that if he hadn't been sold we'd have stayed up. I think he's right.

Cheers Harry you saggy faced twat.

I think this has to go down as one of the most brilliant goalkeeping performances by a Saints keeper. Plus an absolutely epic goalmouth scramble!

Thanks for putting this on....occasionally a game comes along which gets the heart swelling and makes makes the years of frustration worthwhile, that was such a game.

I enjoyed this a lot, Beatts was, along with Danny Ings the players who the quality of their finishes regularly matched Le God...

Interesting that he says that it was Redknob who decided to sell him so that he could wheel and deal with the money and we still went down...:emoticon-0121-angry

Just read the thread above and Lincoln beat me to it!...<doh>

Still the video is a good watch..:emoticon-0148-yes:

Anyone else thinking of going to the Senior cup game at Fratton next week?

Tickets on sale now and only a tenner.

Oh dear, block 1 has now been completely closed due to fan disorder. Bravo to the morons who decided to throw stuff at the Everton fans!

People can moan but the PL were crystal clear that clubs had to clamp down on fan behaviour.

Should have known Tom would be defending that decision.

Everyone is up in arms about it and criticising the decision, but Toms defending the club again. Shock.

What about the repercussions to away fans? Or cracking down on away fans in the home end? Nope. Nothing.

The utter contempt our club shows for us fans is disgusting - they'd much rather prioritise giving away fans a good day out.

Why close the whole block and punish everyone? It's like they're finding any excuse, no matter how small, to kill the Itchen North atmosphere. Probably ****ing each other off about the thought of a wall being built & killing the atmosphere stone dead.

They've already limited the numbers to ST holders only, so it's easier to track and ban those if they really want to punish people.

It's the PL not the club. We were all told the PL would be clamping down on anti-social behaviour which means tougher measures for clubs whose fans misbehave. I'm sure Everton have punished their fans for Saturday as well. It could be a smaller away allocation taken for the next away game for example. The club will have been told to close block 1 - they will not have done it voluntarily - they lose money from this after all. People need to get it through their heads that is not a club thing - it's a nationwide thing.

Bollocks have Everton FC done a single thing about their fans.

You say all this as if it's factual and not just a bunch of your assumptions.

What other clubs have closed stands/areas? And what evidence is there that the closure has been ordered directly by the PL?

Or are you suggesting that there's worse behaviour at SMS than every other ground in the country?

There's undoubtedly some absolute knobheads there (though as all STH surely identifiable?) but I kind of feel like the club are taking advantage of the current situation to try and purge the stand of singers/standers in general.
