Chalk up another selling point for potential signings. Made the squad for a major nation within a few months due to being given game time.

Edozie could become a regular for England U21's as well (which would be a great achievement at 19).
I hate to say this already, but the fee to buy ABK 2/3 years down the line is going to be eye-wateringly high. We got 75mill for VVD and that was before Maguire went to United for 80mill. I would not be surprised if he broke the record fee for a defender.
In which case things would have worked out exactly as intended regardless of how much we’d want him to stay forever. We’d just have to hope for better reinvestment than last time
People may not like it but it is far preferable to sitting on players you can’t get rid of like Hoedt, Lemina, Boufal etc
Exactly this. And I have complete faith in our scouting and new recruitment team to sign excellent replacements.
This always happens, not recognised one minute then as soon a big club signs you the national team is interested.

I wonder if we might even struggle to hold him more than one season if he continues as he has been.
Especially in the case of Liverpool and Bayern - two seasons of improvement could well take him out of their budgets since they don’t tend to bid absolutely mega money - as in a world record (VVD and Nunez appear to be outliers). Liverpool’s primary focus this coming summer seems like it would be midfield

He'd cost 100mill for someone to buy him next summer. I'm not sure anyone would be willing to pay that.
I’d imagine if we put that price on him next summer we’d risk getting a Fofana type reaction. But maybe not - I don’t know his character. Hopefully he isn’t that type. But if Bayern come in for someone who is young and German it would be tough
So he might well already be out of Liverpool’s reach which would be good
