First of all, you've quoted a link from The Mirror - hardly a reliable source. Second of all, I think this has been blown completely out of proportion. It's a bit of gamesmanship, like timewasting and no one seems to kick up a fuss about that.
It doesn’t matter if the FA monitor it, how can you prove a player doesn’t need treatment?
Everton know what they need to do, to stop it - no tackling after the 60th minute.
Something the FA could look into is the use of snipers, by the so called big clubs.
I’m puzzled as to your continual hostility towards Dan Sheldon, who is one of the more reliable football reporters. I think we’re fortunate to have him as the dedicated Saints reporter on the Athletic. The original article in that publication quoted Lampard thus:

I have once said that I wasn’t a fan as I got the impression that he didn’t seem to even enjoy football (as well as not being enthusiastic about saints but I can accept that)
And now raised a point about how he wrote this article that is completely and utterly unnecessary and suggesting the club would be right the feel displeased if (and that is a big if) negative consequences come from this
I’m not even one of the people who claims his stories about McCarthy’s contract extension are made up in an attempt to get a scoop. I believe him on that. (That might be on SW to be fair)
If that is how you define “continued hostility” then I would like to know how you describe, say, the relationship between Saints and Pompey fans

I’m saving so many posts for the end of season “Worst Post of the Season” awards. I thought that we had a clear favourite in “Defund the academy because the children aren’t winning” with an outsider in “Armstrong is better than Edouard because he plays in the Championship” but since then we’ve had “Ralph Out/Rafa In!” and now this! Marvellous work everyone. Truly, this is a golden age of silly internet opinions.
That was my view on this as well. As in - what can the FA do. Still an unnecessary article in my opinion
The earlier stories had no mention of the FA and admittedly this one doesn’t have any source for that. And this is where I get confused as to whether it is up to the FA or the PL
The bit about the FA certainly seems like a line that The Mirror just chucked in there to be inflammatory. And it got me at least so it did it’s job. Congratulations to them I guess
