I have only ever done 2 match threads, that being my second and ended on that night.I took early retirement. Saints have held on to leads for longer than my success with match threads.

On this day in 2012, we secured promotion back into the top division.
Real shame but no surprise. If he is forced to retire from playing I hope we help him get his badges and give him an opportunity to coach - if he wants to of course.Not surprising news, but very sad nonetheless

I feel for the lad, all his dreams crushed just as he is starting out, I hope he has the financial and emotional support to carry on and have a career elsewhere.
Might be a strange thing to say, but he was very lucky he signed a lucrative, long-term contract on presumably good money not long before this happened.
Financially, he should be ok as a result of that ... but emotionally? I couldn't begin to imagine the toll that would take on you. It sounds like the club has been supporting him pretty well (including him in their covid bubble, for example, just to keep him involved)
