I was reading this morning, that Chris Nicholl’s dementia has become so extreme that he can’t be allowed out by himself.
Another victim of heading a football.
Statistically, I have also read that the number of times that the ball is headed, per game, is higher now than in the era of the heavy, leather ball, so there are concerns that despite the ball now being lighter, the more frequent use of the head might still cause future issues with dementia.
