I’m afraid no one seems to know the exact situation with Fraser, but buying Angus Gunn as the no. 2 keeper is a fairly clear signal. I imagine Fraser is probably top of the list to be sold in January, as freeing up his £80k per week wages seems essential if we want to strengthen in other areas, notably CB.
Of course, he hasn’t played even an U23 game for ages, so whether we can attract a potential buyer is another matter!
According to rumour ....we lined up at least two loan options in the summer for him, but he refused to take a pay cut
Loan option shouldn't have involved a paycut, I don't think; a team might not pay the totality but we'd have to subsidize the rest of his wages. Ugly situation, though, as he has so much contract remaining that there is virtually no chance of him signing permanently for substantially less than we're paying. We may have to hope that he goes to a Championship side on loan this year (with us paying the vast majority), and parlaying that into a PL loan next year that at least covers a fair amount, with a view to a later sale. What an impossibly bad contract that was.

I was at Loftis Road mid 80’s with my dad (QPR fan) in the home end when he thumped in a free kick to make it 0-4.
I remember saying how were thrashing him and he asked me to keep quiet as we were not in the Saints end!
I had no idea why!
About 4 years ago we were at St Mary’s and lost 1-2 (think Remy got the winner) and he jumped up when they scored.
This huge guy in front of us started have a go at him and I reminded me old man of the reverse game all those years ago.
Life can be so very precious
