That was the only time I have ever been told to sit down at a game.
I was still applauding the goal when the game was restarted.
I was well and truly lost in the moment.
 
I thought that was the best one as well, because he saves it every time you watch the replay....which seems impossible :)
However, I went for the save against Swansea because of its importance....which I know is daft, because all points are important. Could easily choose a save earlier in the season if you use that criterion.

Maya is a name dropper and suck up. :)
For a second I thought he meant the president of Japan. Then I remembered Japan doesnt have one as they use our system. I really need to lean Gao's face.

Japanese part say: Dinner with the president of Southampton in Tokyo. I had a wonderful time.


At least we know who convinced him to stay :)
 
So, where as most players spend their precious free time between the end of the season and the new season/international duty relaxing at the beach, Maya spent it coaching kids.

"Yesterday, Maya Yoshida visited grampus academy, fitting in time amongst a busy time period.
The players were a bit nervous being infront of their idol, but everyone was starry eyed as they received advice about life in football.
"Maya Yoshida, thanks you, Grampus will always love you."


IIRC he did this last year too.
