No idea if Lis is better or worse than Lumley. But those 2 can fight it out for the GK on the bench next season and we will have to bring in a new no.1. I kind of think Baz injury makes it easier for the club to bring in a new no.1 as I would have thought we would have been thinking about a new no.1 even had Baz not picked up this injury. I like him, he seems like a really nice guy...but his shot stopping is just not good enough and that's been shown at PL and now Championship level too. Now we need a new no.1 next season and then on Baz return he can fight for his place.

Ultimately I obviously wish him a speedy recovery.

I thought Goetzepe had signed him permanently. I may have dreamt that though.
Definitely a loan, just for this season. In the light of his record at Goztepe, and at Troyes last season, I would keep him in the squad and let Alex go as his contract expires in June.

At the very least let Martin and the coaches take a look at Liz in pre-season. If he was able to come in and contribute, even just as a sub, then it would be the first small contribution a multi-club network will have made.

The Rotherham keeper has saved 30+ more than anyone else. His save percent is 69. Bristol City’s keeper has saved a whopping 76% of shots faced!

Bazunu second worst at 63% of shots saved.

I agree that this means we will likely look for a GK who will challenge for number 1 this summer, whereas before despite Bazunu's poor save rate I have never been given the impression the club were unhappy enough with him to seek a replacement.

Rotherham's keeper seems to have left an impression on the whole division, but knowing Saints and RM they will be looking as much at a keepers footwork as their save rate.... Don't be surprised if we get someone fairly odd / left field.

With the way we play there would be no point signing a keeper that can't play with the ball at his feet, regardless of how good a shot stopper he is. Whilst I think the priority should definitely be goalkeeping ability first, we can't ignore the fact our system just wouldn't work without a ball playing GK.

Johansson is not that great with the ball.

Getting real David Marshall vibes from this clamour for Johanssen.

Yeah I always find it hard to judge a keeper at a poor team. There were a few when we were in the Prem who looked great (Al Habsi at Wigan springs to mind) but ultimately they looked good because they had lots of opportunity to look good due to the amount of shots against them.

First everyone came for all our players, then we started signing **** players so no one was interested. But apparently we started hiring good staff as now they're getting poach after just a few months!

It does take the piss tbh.
