Let's hope the new shirt is actually cotton and not polyester. Our players are static enough without attracting more.
Having said that, if the players are all charged up, then shaking hands with opposition players would be entertaining
Tell you what, for all the criticism of SR etc etc, Ruben Selles is doing one hell of a job at Reading, considering where they were when he took over. Took a while to find his feet, but he's done brilliantly.
Speaking of last years managers I had the joy of speaking with a Charlton fan at work yesterday who was waxing lyrical about Nathan Jones
Hassenhuttl lost his second game in charge of Wolfsburg. They were 1-0 up, only to collapse and concede three second half goals. Classic Ralph.
Speaking to friends who don’t follow Saints they all rated Hassenhuttl and were surprised we sacked him, a few saying that’s why we went down. From the outside looking in and not following closely that is a reasonable assumption to make. He was proven in the PL and had done well in the Bundesliga previously so was likely to get another high league job It’s quite telling that Jones and Selles went to League 1 clubs though and despite them doing well atm neither should’ve been managing a PL team last season
Being an odd character can be endearing when you are winning. Being an odd character is a stick to beat you with when you are losing. Being an odd character usually means you support Saints.
I always liked Ralph and thought it was a shame the way it ended. I said at the time, some of the football we played under him was the best I had ever seen from Saints but it was a also a time I later gave up my season ticket. I had hoped under the new management he could have got a decent team going again. But it's all history now, I wish him well wherever he is.
Yeah, it may have seemed a strange decision at the time to outside fans, but if anything it was too late. Unfortunately we broke what was a good manager. It was time.
Really liked Ralph. Proper decent bloke and good manager. Really liked selles. Good guy, but thrown to the wolves and was way out of his depth. Every chance he has a successful career and eventually becomes a PL manager again the hard way. Nathan Jones. ****ing cockwomble. Wasted his PL chance and blamed everyone but himself.
