Holgate isn't as bad as his performance today makes him out to be, I think it's easy to pick him out when we concede 5 goals, for my money at least the 1st 3 goals weren't his fault.. But maybe I need to see the highlights.

1st goal no FB there to even challenge Clarke, and where was Bednarek?

Goal 2 and 3 Surely Manning should be absolutely sorting out there DM for both goals, or at the least Downes should be there to put in a block or even challenge the player.

Kind of helped that Holgate just passed their player the ball to give them the possession they scored their third from

But yeah nobody was good today so hopefully the whole teams performance is being looked at

Just need to the players to really build a unit, and actually put the energy into it and intensity.
Hopefully we come back much improved, Next game Leicester.. Gulp.

Yeah the next 7/8 games will basically define our season I think. We should know what this team/squad is capable of after this run. Sunderland have shown everyone what they have to do to completely nullify and expose us so hopefully Martin can make some adjustments to make his style successful

I think going forward, Charles needs to be in that midfield with Downes and playing 1 AM in Alcaraz, Stuey or Arma.. just gives us a more solid base.
But then maybe Downes just had a off day today.

I think the system can work and will work just need every player singing from the same hymn sheet so to speak.

As Nigel use to say, draw a line and move on.
 
Isn’t he with England under somethings? Maybe he’s already left to join up with them.

Yes I think we can all agree that international football is incredibly ****, but I believe he is in some England youth squad or other. No idea if he will have already gone to meet up with them though

Speak for yourself when you say international football is incredibly ****. "We" certainly don't all agree. Neither do the players, their families and friends or the supporters going to matches.

Well, I don't particularly enjoy watching England absolutely smash a tiny nation like San Marino or Andorra.
