Vestergaard may need surgery for his groin injury, whether true or not...we probably won't see him before preseason as there is no need to risk him.

Season over for him then. Glad he had a opportunity to show what he can do, there's a useful place in the team for him. Need to look at others now. Its going to be hard to guess the team for this weekend, it will be anything but straightforward.

    Didn’t something happen on this day in 1976? I can’t quite remember ...... :emoticon-0105-wink:

Sadly, I was in the General recovering from some bloke trying to kill me by knocking me off my bike on the A34 just at the Worthy Down turnoff. We managed to watch the game in the lounge though, although it hurt to celebrate too much!

Nice match. I only watched the whole 90 minutes the other week while it was piddling with rain outside, just for the sheer pleasure of it.
I suppose it is opportune while it's fresh in this video - Iheanacho's goal celebration. You know the one. Two slightly spread arms, upwardly pointing index fingers, and a slight mutter to the skies from the scorer. I think it was the second time I saw a striker do this and I could feel it starting to piss me off. I want to take one of these goalscorers to one side and say, 'there's nobody there mate'. This is the sort of thing one has to put up with, in one's head, being born catholic. :emoticon-0114-dull:

As a true motorcyclist, I will ask how if the bike was OK? :emoticon-0103-cool:

Ha ha! Well asked - true biker indeed! Luckily it was before they put a crash barrier there (otherwise I reckon I wouldn’t be here). So I went into the grassy central reservation (the guy following me who was a witness in court) said he was amazed I kept it up so long, but, eventually, I flipped it, landing on my back. Bike wasn’t too bad considering. New handlebars, forks and front wheel. Bastard got 6 points and a fine.

Over the years I've been wiped out twice by motorists looking in other directions rather than where they should have been at critical times. I don't quite know what it is about motorcyclists and motorcycles, but if we do come off our machines, provided we are concious, we tend to want to know how the bike has survived rather than ourselves. It's probably a case of anthropomorphising the bike. Is it hurt? I must suffer from it badly because each time it happened all I could think of was my bike. I think it's the same with all true bikers.
On the other hand, on the couple of occasions my car have been bashed into by the same style of unaware driver, I've just been a bit pissed off. It's not the same.
Nice to hear that your bike survived. Oh, and you of course. <cheers>
