Echo article talking about why Koeman can't drop Long...describing him as a world class nuisance with flashes of genius. Likens him to the cartoon character Taz....which for younger readers is a Tasmanian Devil who looks like he runs on spinning wheels rather than legs.

The absence of other strikers has given Long his chance and most fans can now see his value. He may miss goals (but so do Pelle and Mane), but he causes havoc which opens up chances both for Long and others. His endless energy and speed is a massive plus for us.

Long is our best striker at the moment and it's a no brainer that he starts.

WGS made a comment comparing a dead body lying in the opposition penalty area and Claus's goal threat. I think he said there was marginally more chance of the ball hitting the dead body and going in rather than Claus scoring. :D

WGS has a cutting wit. Love him for it, and other things too. Happy Birthday Claus.

Found the quote. I miss Gordon Stachan.

He said if there was a dead body lying in the penalty area the ball would hit it on the head several times a season which he said is more than Lundekvam can manage. He said referees should book Lundekvam for timewasting every time he goes up for a corner

If you fancy reading a few more try this. Very amusing. :)

WGS is a legend.

"After a year in charge, we had not improved one iota - the football was average, away results were abysmal, the worst league position in 20 years and he still doesn't know his best team. It wasn't just on the field that Strachan let himself down, off the field during post-match interviews he became an embarrassment to himself, the club and the fans. He was arrogant, obnoxious, sarcastic, cutting and rude. He came across to me like a man who was on the borderline of insanity. "

That was just the usual WGS. When he did it at SFC we loved it. I think I've never looked forward to a post-match interview quite so much since. :)
