So season tickets were sold out but now there are half season tickets on sale? Massively underestimated demand then.

Good timing though...

Surely they only had x number of season tickets on sale and they sold out. We aren't going to sell out the whole ground as season tickets...!!

They are now offering those that want to go to all of the rest of the games the chance to do so. Don't see the problem with that.

So they didn't sell out their ST limit in the summer if they found room for some more <laugh>

If they've only limited to & sold out of (lets say) 24k ST holders in the summer, then where has this additional allocation for half season tickets come from? Think its far more likely they just lowered the limit in the summer to be honest, and claim they sold out as a bit of good PR.

Not saying it's a problem really, just think it shows they might have underestimated matchday demand?

Clubs would rather have less STH now as don't make as much off them but that only works if you sell most of the other tickets which we're not.

Yeah I reckon they were 4-500 off the limit and decided to declare it sold out and push the memberships with skates early on.

It's the fear of missing out thing, if it appears that a product is really scarce then people will feel more inclined to buy it early.

So far the membership has been pointless for home matches I think? Pretty much everything has gone general sale.

Yep; personally, my membership has only been good for a couple of away games so far (so it's been worth its money, really in that regard) but for home games, it's been pretty pointless.
