Martin Hunter said a few will go out on loan...if they can find a good enough team for them. Definitely a change of policy for us....good for them to get experience, especially for the ones looking for a move later. Our defence was a bit open in the first half...second half better and Saints showed their superiority. Very enjoyable. Top of the table...well done.

My second monday night in a row watching Saints u21s. Probably need a hobby, but this game held my attention. The Sims, Hesketh & Seager combination which was so effective at u18 level is starting to fire in the u21s. That was a rare start at this level for Sims and a fine one at that.

Commentators mentioned that Martin Hunter was looking to send out some of the youngsters on loan and there were a number of scouts for the lower leagues in attendance.

For differing reasons, I'd like to see the following getting first team experience elsewhere

Gazzaniga
McCarthy
Reed
Isgrove
McQueen
Seager

One of the commentator's said that Martin Hunter must be happy....obviously doesn't really know Martin<laugh> Mr Happy, he ain't. However, he quite rightly wasn't happy about the first half defending.

What was Bertrand thinking of with a challenge like that in an U21 match...especially when coming back from an injury.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt, his timing was out, bound to be a bit rusty after the time he was off.

These guys need a decent Championship level club to go to as that league is very tough and competitive or Sheffield United to help Big Nig!

The two guys in the CL are not exactly ripping it up, Stephens has force his way into a settled defence and is not getting game time, Sam in playing but not getting any goals. Loans do not always work out.
