Saints u21s currently playing Leicester live on the youtube channel

It's 1-1 after 40 minutes.

Leicester got through the middle rather too easily to take the lead, but a deep cross from Isgrove found McQueen at the back stick with a great outstretched volley

Much improved second half from Saints as they ran riot on a very ropey Leicester defence who took off their best player in Chowdry(Big Afro dude) and promptly fell apart.

McCarthy was great once again. Reading the game well and marshalling the back line. We have a little Fonte Protege in the making. Think he needs to work on his on ball skills a bit, but I would say he is not far away and could probably quite easily play at league one level now.

Debayo has improved on the times I saw him last season and against Espanyol. I believe he played mainly as a centre back up until u18s, but looks like he is getting to grips with the left back berth and has a nice turn of pace.

Gape seems to have bulked up a little bit and tonight he had a better game than Reed IMO and also looks like a slightly better passer.

Isgrove and McQueen put in a lot of work rate, but I don't think they have the quality needed for the premier league.

Hesketh has that something special, but a strong breeze can knock him over. Hopefully he can get a full season at this level under his belt and find the consistency to his game.

Seager proved what a greater poacher he is and got caught offside a number of times playing on the shoulder of the last defender. I guess the question is can he bring on the rest of his game

Marcus Barnes put in a good spell before coming off injured and his link up play was positive.

Will Wood looked quite assured as well. I like the look of him, but he must be thinking Van Dijk on a 5 year contract!!!
Good to see we have two tall and seemingly quick full backs coming through.
Is Mugabe the reason Martina is with us for just one season?

Wood can play rb, lb, cb, lm, cm, so he will be fine.
You are correct about Martina.

You think the same as me with Isgrove and Mcqueen. They run a lot and never give up but don't look good enough for the Prem.
