He was certainly impressive in the U18 game the other day, glad he's getting a run out in the 21's. Looks a real prospect, and great that for once we got someone from Arsenal! The guy is a tank.
Mr Happy, he ain't. However, he quite rightly wasn't happy about the first half defending. One of the commentator's said that Martin Hunter must be happy....obviously doesn't really know MartinMr Happy, he ain't. However, he quite rightly wasn't happy about the first half defending.
What was Bertrand thinking of with a challenge like that in an U21 match...especially when coming back from an injury.
These guys need a decent Championship level club to go to as that league is very tough and competitive or Sheffield United to help Big Nig!My second monday night in a row watching Saints u21s. Probably need a hobby, but this game held my attention. The Sims, Hesketh & Seager combination which was so effective at u18 level is starting to fire in the u21s. That was a rare start at this level for Sims and a fine one at that.
Commentators mentioned that Martin Hunter was looking to send out some of the youngsters on loan and there were a number of scouts for the lower leagues in attendance.
For differing reasons, I'd like to see the following getting first team experience elsewhere
Gazzaniga
McCarthy
Reed
Isgrove
McQueen
Seager
If Wanyama gets injured I could imagine Reed filling in as a defensive midfielder.
really? Seems to be Davis filling in when wanyamas missed out so far.
