A friends daughter is with the academy and he is really impressed. Not just with the football side of things, but some of the leadership and life skills coaching (for want of a better phrase) that is also part of it.
Interesting. Getting Spacey was an achievement by the club....and, from her point of view, an exciting time to join a club that is seriously investing in the women's side for the first time. Although (just like the boy's side) only a few will make it professionally, the girls will benefit from having an interest in something other than the purely frivolous...leading to an increase in confidence and character development. And it will look good on a CV...always good to have something to catch an employer's eye, so they will be more likely to get job interviews.....that won't be high on a youngster's thoughts as their focus will be on football, but helpful to be seen as a team player in the real world. You must log in or register to see media
