Yeah I saw ticket details for a match on the OS but thought we were already out.
The competition starts with a four team group stage...saints have won 1 lost 1.
Will be interesting to see if the competition continues with the current format.
Attendances are definitely down, even from a relatively low bar for the early rounds, but I would suspect the income from the premier league/academy sides is probably more than adequately compensating lower league sides for the loss of ticket sales and thus far no academy teams have gone close to the latter stages
Jake Hesketh scored the winner for Burton in their 3 - 2 win against Forest
A Q/F against a League One Nigel Clough team beckoning for Saints?....*shudders*
Great to see Jake making an impression there, I personally wanted him to stay here instead of Davo for this season. but the experience looks like it is doing him good.
Far better than the experience of being at Saints at the moment. If we feel crud, I can only imagine what it's like being a Saints player. Their only saving grace is that, unlike us, the players aren't stuck here for eternity.A Q/F against a League One Nigel Clough team beckoning for Saints?....*shudders*
