It’s always interesting to look at some of those “where are they now” articles from youth cup football. Even at under 17 or 18 World Cup level. Some become mainstays and others don’t even last a year after the win

There seems to be such a massive variety at that level
 
The latest rumours are that we are interested in second division clubs in France and Turkey. I wonder if it is being considered that a season on loan there might be better for some of our academy players than playing in the under 18s / under 23s but also less punishing than lower league football in the U.K. ?

Proper crowds and proper stakes and all that

So perhaps going to one of these first. Then a lower division English club between the ages of 17-19.
I’m thinking someone like Ballard who seems too good for the under 18s

Apparently Newcastle have picked up one of our 16 year olds, paying him 6.5k a week.

Ramello Mitchell has signed for West Brom following his release from Saints.

He was highly thought of at one stage wasn’t he? Didn’t we sign him from Birmingham for some money when he was 16 or am I thinking of someone else?
