So I noticed we have will wood and Aaron O'Driscoll training with the first team - both defenders and neither of which took part in the u23's match. Are they there because they didn't take part on the u23's match or didn't they take part in the u23's match because they are with the first team? Also why did we only have 4 on the bench for the u23s none of which we used? Wouldn't it be a good idea to have some u18's ready to get a chance? All seems a bit weird. Good to see youth getting experience with the first teamers though.
ah, i remember that now. They've just removed him from the OS rather than putting it down as a sub. also with Hesketh, Sims and Tella injured, with Seager, Olomola and Gallagher loaned we seem to have no more u23 attackers to put on the bench which might explain why it was filled with defenders.

Another defeat won't help these kids with their confidence, this kind of game would be better if a couple of more experienced players were in getting match time and coaching the youngsters.
Big sam must have thought that going to Birmingham he would be playing for a team that should be getting near the play off area, he could be facing another season playing for relegation team
Interesting choice in The Guardian about our 'next big thing' - interesting as I'd not heard of him. Another left back in the left back factory! https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...0-of-the-best-talents-at-premier-league-clubs
