Whilst I wouldn't be surprised to find that Vic has been having second thoughts about the offer we presented to him(now the realisation of only two clubs coming in for him has set in), I cannot see any further negotiations going on with NC. Its not just the way the player publicly criticised the offer, although I can't think of a bigger snub in recent times, its also the twitter comments about his agent being owed a big pay day, as well as him. I think the bridge has been burnt......but I also can see this thread continuing right up unto the last. Respect to clingers, they sure can cling!

Well, I've said it before, but how many times were we told the Ramirez deal was definitely off? This bears more than a passing resemblance, in that we are reportedly the only club who has had a bid accepted for him. As things stand, he either accepts our offer, or he stays at Celtic, which doesn't seem likely.

The Ramirez situation was because he had two owners and the club he played for wanted us to pay the South American club off separately (I believe). gaston also wanted to come and threw a paddy about it. Don't think Victor feels that strongly.

I can't remember Wanyama ever saying any of these things.

Have you had a chat with him about it then?

Don't get upset when I post my feelings on a football matter. I have no inside information, I don't proclaim to. But I listen & read quotes, & the boy did leave a trail, some direct from his twitter account. I like that you really want him to sign for us & remain positive that he will. I on the other hand don't think he will & don't really want him & his agent anywhere near us. But, no need for facetious comments, I think you might know that me & Victor stopped talking some time ago.

Yeah, it was complicated, and so is this, otherwise I'm sure it would have been concluded by now. Gaston desperately wanted to leave Bologna, and in the end we were the only option he had, it's not like he dreamed of playing for Southampton. The same is true, currently, of Wanyama.

I'm not upset, I just tire of so many people using comments that were made in passing on non-reliable websites as fact in conversation. I checked his Twitter account and found nothing, I also can remember absolutely nothing disrespectful he said about the club. If you can find me some factual evidence to why you want him nowhere near us (which is needlessly disrespectful) then perhaps I'll take your disdain for him more seriously.

His agent remarked that our offer wasn't good enough, but all I've seen from Wanyama is that he trusts his agent. So no negative stuff, but nothing remotely positive either. it quite wise to keep silent as you never know where you will end up.

Don't hold your breath waiting for us to sign players who dream of joining us.

I am stuck in the past a bit, I do know it comes across like that. Don't like change much, it felt tough jettisoning Hammond & Sharp, but I knew we needed to evolve. I just struggle with greedy agents & ungrateful (not proven) players. I'd rather get relegated than get Qpr raped, & that's a fact. Luckily for us, there's a man in charge with a far bigger clue than I can offer. Amen.

Whatever happens it'd be nice if the outcome of this one became clear sooner rather than later.

The only African players I'll accept are ones who are part of a club like this one:

I sure hope there are plenty more of them.

QPR managed to do both. A beautiful thing.
