Sure and Tadic has scored 50. We are only not in relegation by goal difference for a reason. We have played ****

He's never been a prolific scorer for us, has he?

We do have a lot of players who bring a lot to the side, without being able to ****ing score.

I disagree. He has had some games where he’s done well. I also think games like the United one are where he plays well, but because that playing well isn’t setting up a goal, beating three men or whipping crosses in, some fans don’t see the value of his contribution.

He’s not been at his best, but he’s done ok.

He is our number one playmaker. His job is to create opportunities for the striker. He's not in the team for anything else. If all we required from him was to do 'the other things' to an okay standard, then we might as well play JWP or Davis ahead of him, because they - certainly Davis - do the other things very well.

So there is no point in him playing 'okay', if he is not doing his primary job. He should, minimum, be creating 3-4 goal-scoring opportunities for the man up top. But he doesn't any more. He has lost his knack of picking out the killer pass. The entire season, and last, the fans have been complaining about lack of service for the strikers. If Tadic isn't to blame for this, then I'm not sure who is.

If we were top-half, I'd say he is a luxury we can afford to be patient with, but as we are fighting relegation, I just don't think we can afford to have him in the team, and that we should start looking to the grafters to fight our way back to safety.

Tadic has been average overall but very poor in his creative responsibility. How many times have people moaned about nobody seeing or picking out one of Gabbiadini's runs? Surely this falls on Tadic as our "most creative player"?

I get his other qualities that FLT mentioned. He is very useful (along with Boufal) at relieving pressure as he can take a few good touches to help get the team out and up the pitch when we are under pressure. A lot of people confuse this with "slowing the game down" which he can also be guilty of, but in a lot of situations it is essential.

We disagree then :)

Ambition is getting a loan to start your own business.

Desperation is getting a loan shark to fork over a wedge and hoping you get lucky with it at the casino.

I'm not clicking that link, assuming they want 30m?

Not surprising if so, they know we're loaded and that's about the going rate for an English player now.

Neither of which analogy is remotely appropriate.

Neither was your suggestion that turning up one's nose at 30m for Walcott belies the cries that we show ambition, then. Bad decisions are bad decisions; 30m for Walcott would be such, ambitious or not.
